Built in 1963 by The Adelaide Repertory Theatre, The Arts Theatre is the city backbone of Adelaide’s thriving community theatre groups, with a jam packed variety of shows throughout the year. It is also a major venue of the Adelaide Fringe each year, hosting world renowned stand up comedians and entertainers.

Every ticket sold for a production staged at the Arts Theatre carries a small seat levy. This nominal $1 fee contributes directly to the Arts Theatre redevelopment fund, with the aim of improving accessibility and upgrading the overall experience of patrons and hirers.
